I’m tired.
Exhausted.
Overwhelmed.
I have so many things waiting for me to finish them. Getting back into the groove of homeschooling is hard. I feel as though I can’t catch my breath and my prayers have been prayers of desperation. Turning back to God at every moment because He is the only reason that I am able to keep moving.
As I sat with God, He showed me what I needed to do. He reminded me that the things that I have on my plate are all things that He placed there, however they are things that I can not do in my own strength. This is why I am tired, exhausted and overwhelmed.

Just Do It
Proverbs 16:1-3 tells us to commit our works to the Lord and our plans will be established.
Allowing God into my plans gives Him the space to work through my plans. Where I have missed the mark is that I have been trying to do this on my own.
I have been trying to parent on my own, be a wife on my own, a full-time employee on my own and a children’s pastor on my own.
When I say on my own, I mean going through the motions. Knowing what I need to do and doing it. Not sharing my plans with God through every step.
This is what leads to burnout in the life of a believer.
Commit Your Plans to the Lord
With this revelation I have been intentional about writing out my plans and sharing them with God in my quiet time with Him. It has helped tremendously with my exhaustion and energy as well as bringing peace.
My goal over the next few months is to truly sit with God with my plans for the week and allow Him to lead me into what should happen for the week. To trust Him with the plate that He gave me and walk with Him as I go through my days.
The plans of the heart belong to man,
Proverbs 16:1-3 Nasb1995
But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight,
But the Lord weighs the motives.
Commit your works to the Lord
And your plans will be established.
