Candidly Christian is powered by a group of women working together to help you grow in your walk with God. We refer to ourselves as the Candid gals, and each of one us is a real woman, living real life, with real faith. We aren’t on stage. We won’t put on airs or try to look better than we really are. We share the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to living life as a Christian woman in the real world. Find out more about us below:

Heather Hart

Heather Hart is an internationally best-selling and award-winning author with over fifty books in her portfolio. Her articles have been featured in magazines and online. Heather has also spoken to small groups in person and to thousands through podcasts, radio shows, webinars, and other online events.

As the founder of Candidly Christian, Heather started a movement to encourage women to be open and honest about the struggles they face in their everyday lives. Her goal isn’t to teach women how they can do more, be better, or achieve perfection, it’s to point them to Jesus.

Stephanie is an author, Bible teacher, and course creator as well as a mom of two sons. She is a passionate lover of Jesus Christ. She has her Doctorate in Theology and resides in the Atlanta, Georgia area. She is a prayer counselor with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and a women’s life coach. Her purpose in life is to instill discipline, integrity, and uncompromising spirit of character within women.

Brianna Barrett

Brianna is a Carolina girl who loves Jesus and her family. She enjoys watching the sunrise, photography, reading, writing, and paddle boarding. According to her teenage son, she’s a master chef in the kitchen, making gluten-free cuisine from around the world. Her writing has appeared in numerous publications including Faith On Every Corner, The Christian Journal, and Our Story Magazine, and she is a contributor to The Grit and Grace Project and Broken But Priceless Magazine where she writes the column, “From A Homemaker’s Heart”.

Joanne Thompson is a wife, a mom to three grown sons and two spoiled mini Aussies, and is a retired teacher’s assistant. She has taken the pages of her journal and turned them into devotions. She loves writing honest stories that help women draw near to Jesus. She has written for Her View from Home, The Round Farmhouse Ministries, christiandevotions.us, and the compilation book, El Raah: The God Who Shepherds. She is a mom to three grown sons and lives in Central Florida with her husband and two spoiled mini Aussies.

Shirley Desmond Jackson

Prompted by gratitude, Shirley Desmond Jackson loves to share the truths found in God’s Word. Her driving passion is to help others connect with an extraordinary God who meets us in the middle of our ordinary lives. After serving on the foreign mission field of Paris, France, she married her best friend Mark. Together they raised three children and now shepherd the Campus and Married Ministries of their church. In her free time, she loves to spend time with family—especially her two precious grandchildren.

Melissa Gween Meek makes North Canton, Ohio her home base, is a searching Christian, using the Word and writing devotions and personal essays to deepen her faith.
