When I was in high school, I went through this phase where I refused to say “amen.” It might sound silly, but I wanted my life to be a living prayer. To constantly be in conversation with God. I was a new believer and I took 1 Thessalonians 5:17 seriously: to pray without ceasing (ESV).
It’s been a week. Not just because my head hurts, but an emotional one. For reasons I’m not free to discuss openly online, my heart is breaking. Those I love are going through unimaginably emotionally painful circumstances. And there is nothing I can do.
