I shared a little bit of the chaos that is my life last week. It would be fair to say that I’m still in the midst of it all. Which is probably why Marva’s post from last week spoke right to my heart.Sometimes life distracts us from our goals and we need reminders… Click To Tweet
As a reminder that being distracted is what the enemy wants.
As a reminder of the benefits of drawing near to Jesus.
As a reminder to be intentional about it.
Oh, and Marva, feel free to grab the “I’ve been Featured” button and add it to your post so your readers can celebrate with you.
And Now For A Giveaway!
I had the privilege of reviewing The Book of Mark by Alabaster. It’s like the perfect coffee table Bible.
Picture this, you have a friend over for coffee, it’s someone new. You aren’t real close, but you would love to tell them about Jesus… yet you just don’t know how to break the ice.
You have them sit on the couch while you go to grab some sweet tea, and they pick up the book on the top of the stack and start flipping through it. The photos are beautiful, and pretty soon they start reading the words… But this isn’t just any book, this is The Book of Matthew. It’s part of an Alabaster Bible set. When you come back, they ask about it and there’s no more awkwardness. The conversation just starts to flow.
Doesn’t that sound grand? I mean, that would never happen at my house. But I love how it happened in my head. I don’t even have a coffee table (just being honest). I have four kids, we have a checkers rug and a BeyBlade stadium. That’s just my life. But I still adore this book and think it would make a great coffee table book for someone who had one.
