  1. What a great post! God is love and so often we search for love that is so different than Him. Not only then are we not truly showing love to the people around us but we are missing out on understanding the love we are receiving from God.

  2. “God tells us that love isn’t a risk, because love doesn’t need to be loved in return.”>>> Oh man to have learned this lesson sooner! I absolutely love the way you have overcome the worldly norms with the truth of God! This is beautiful, and a great read! I will be saving this for when I lose perspective.

    1. I’m glad it’s a blessing. It’s easy for all of us to forget. I know I need this perspective too.

  3. “Love doesn’t give up in order to avoid drama.” I love this! Love is real when you are honest with each other and can say the hard things without someone flipping out.

  4. “God tells us that love isn’t a risk, because love doesn’t need to be loved in return.” What a good nugget of wisdom! This article shold be required reading for anyone getting married. Love this Godly perspective.

  5. I love this! God loves us even when we move away from Him. I’m thankful for an unending love even when I don’t desire it.

  6. Real love confronts. I would rather avoid conflict, but you are absolutely right, it’s often more loving to confront than avoid. If it’s done in love, not in an ugly way, it ‘can’ be a really good thing.

  7. “God isn’t afraid to tell me exactly what He wants me to know. He tells me when I’ve wronged Him. He listens when I need to tell Him my hurts and disappointments. God never shies away from my drama, and never stops reaching out when I’m having an attitude problem.”
Just wow! This is exactly how we must be with others too. True love casts away fear.

  8. All I could think of was…His Love never fails, it never gives up, never runs out on me. The world will tell us we have to do something in order to be worth loving, but God said He loved us when He knit us in our mother’s womb…..

  9. “Love doesn’t give up to avoid drama.” This thought has been in my heart for awhile. It’s hurts my heart when people walk away from relationships because it’s more conveniently then actually walking through a difficulty with someone else.

  10. “God isn’t afraid to tell me exactly what He wants me to know. He tells me when I’ve wronged Him. He listens when I need to tell Him my hurts and disappointments.

THIS. I love this post so much. It is so easy to try to fit His love into our own narrow view, but His love is so much more expansive than we could ever hope to fathom.
