Encourage Yourself With Grace and Truth
If you’ve read this blog for long, you know that I love the grace the Gospel offers.
And that I’m no fan of the boot-strap Gospel. Nothing in me wants encourage others (or myself) to try-harder or just do-better. Everything in me clings to the fact that Jesus paid it all on the cross.
Because of His sacrifice, we are already, always, completely forgiven.
There is nothing for us to do, because He did it all.
That said, we can’t just lay around all day soaking up God’s grace. There’s stuff to do. Life still needs living.
And that’s why I wanted to feature Lois’ post this week. I can relate to it so much. She focuses on a saying I actually use myself often. Find out what it is by visiting Lois’ blog, LoisFlowers.com.

How Do You Encourage Yourself?
I know you’ll enjoy it. And I’d love to hear from you. What are some of your favorite sayings? Or how do you encourage yourself?

Heather – I hate to admit it but I struggle with grace a bit. I know it is a gift but I fight the desire to try and earn it. I have no trouble giving it to others but it is in the receiving. I am a work in progress. Heading over to read the post you featured.
You will love it, Maree. We all have our struggles. Sometimes I wished I struggled with trying to earn grace. Maybe then my house would be clean… But, I’m a work in progress too, so I’m just thankful that it’s there. And that God is so good.
