  7. Q1: some of my favorite things are pizza, peanut m&ma’s, coke, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and crocheting

Q2: I struggle with my identity in Christ and knowing him as my father, I am very negative…the glass is always half empty. This is something I am really working hard to change. When I mess up I beat myself up more than anyone else ever could.

Q3: With all I struggle with I know that as long as I don’t give up there is hope for my. I love knowing that God won’t give up on me regardless of how many time I throw in the towel and with everyday I wake up His mercy is made knew…but I have to say that my most favorite thing is knowing this life is only temporary and one day I will be with God and never leave his side again

    1. Shannon, I can totally relate to the part about beating yourself up. I do that way too often. I think we all tend to be harder on ourselves than others are, but I also know that sometimes we can go way too far and way too long. I’m so thankful for God’s grace and over the past 5-8 years, God has been really teaching me that that grace isn’t just for others, but for me too.

      1. Thanks Heather…I think that is the real struggle…I believe in ALL of God’s promises I just have a hard time believing that they are for me

    2. Shannon, so glad you shared. Be encouraged that you aren’t alone! I struggle with beating myself up too and spiraling into despair over little things. Just this morning I let it happen again! I think I am starting to recover more quickly, but it is a constant battle for me. This is a scripture that I say out loud to wage war on the lies: ‘For a righteous (wo)man falls seven times, and rises again; but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.’ – proverbs 24:16 We will rise! God bless you!

  8. I feel like I am invading your space ladies but I have been linking up with Crystal for over a year. Back when it was Intentional Tuesdays. Love what you ladies are doing here. I know that God is glorified. I have been blogging for almost 2 years now. I have a passion for writing and about to publish my first book on the power of prayer this Fall. (Lord willing) I am a stroke survivor of 6 years. I hope to encourage, enlighten, and even educate others about the transforming power of God with my writing. I struggle with being overly self-critical. I am learning to trust God’s leading and seek His wisdom. I remind myself that He has a plan for me for a future and hope(Jer. 29:11) Well that’s a little about me. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and may God richly bless you and yours in all your endeavors.

    1. God bless you, Horace. I love to hear from men trying to write for the Lord. Your testimony is so encouraging! Praying for you to get your book out and that it is a blessing.

  9. Q1: Making homemade cards. It is my opportunity to be creative and finish a project! Tagging along with this, I love to send cards through “snail mail” and surprise people with a special note.
Q2. Being still. I love doing for God, but I also know that I am called to be still. I have to slow down, take a breath, and ask God to give me His agenda for the day.
Q3. The privilege of prayer. Prayer is simply talking with our best friend, Lord, Savior, and oh yeah, the Creator of the universe with all power at His disposal! Prayer with an for others is also a wonderful venue to share the hope of Jesus Christ.
Q4: I write about how the Holy Spirit applies God’s word to our every day lives: teaching, guiding, rebuking, and giving us joy in the journey!

  10. 1 – Primitive (Colonial) decor, coffee, chocolate, and knitting
2 – Right now, homeschooling an unmotivated high school junior.
3 – Hope and Peace through Jesus
4 – Home, Recipes, and Faith mostly, with some homeschooling.

Thank you for introducing me to this neat site; I can’t wait to dig in and starting reading. Thanks for sharing with Thankful Thursdays.

    1. I totally understand where you are – I’m a homeschooling mom too! And have a couple of those unmotivated ones you mentioned. 😀

  11. I am so glad I found this blog! I loved reading all about each of you! It is nice to have a community where we can be authentic with one another. It is very refreshing! In a world that is always trying to tell us who we should be versus who God says we are it is nice to know I am not alone. I am a blogger and the owner of http://www.JesusGlitter.com. I love to share stories about finding Jesus in the everyday moments of life. It is like glitter because it is random and shows up in the craziest places. I encourage others to #BetheSparkle too! I love anything that ‘Sparkles”. When I see something shiny I find myself saying “Squirrel” More important is my love for God and honoring Him with the gifts He has given to me. I have gone through some difficult times in life , but whatever we go through does not define who we are to God. I love to help women find their identity in Christ and help nurture their soul back to the Father’s Arms of grace, hope, love and redemption. I have been in ministry for over 35 years and last year I left my position at the church to pursue a different calling which I’m currently finishing which is my first book. It has been one of the hardest years of my life because I am an extrovert by birth :-0 Writing can be a lonely place sometimes, but God has taught me more about myself and the importance of pursuing your calling. Blessings to Each of You and May God Bless You In Ways You Can’t Imagine !

  12. What a fabulous idea, Heather! Interviewing bloggers is a wonderful way for readers to get to know them a bit better! Thanks for linking up with Grace and Truth this week. I am featuring 2 posts this week and yours is one of them – be sure to pop by tomorrow to get your button.

PS – I am always open to an interview;)
