Have you ever prayed with a stranger and then instantly felt a unique, lasting connection with that person, and wondered why you felt such fondness for someone you spent so little time with?
I recently attended my first 3-day virtual writers’ retreat. The weekend was so Spirit-led that it felt more like a prayer retreat. I woke up Monday morning feeling thoroughly fulfilled, totally exhausted, and already missing my new beloved sisters in Christ.

The Power of a Prayer Partner
Later that week, 2 Corinthians 5:15-17 showed me how Christian friends are different because we don’t regard one another from the worldly view of regular acquaintances. Christians are new creatures in Christ, and nothing brings this to life more than coming to Jesus together in prayer. By coming together in the Spirit, we are then connected in our Spirit.
Are you feeling alone today, even as you’re surrounded by others? I encourage you to find a prayer partner, and you’ll see how coming to Jesus together will remind you you’re never alone.
