Prayer, Grace & Truth
It’s Heather’s week to do Gace & truth today, but I’m stepping in because she’s swamped. And I’m able to step in because I took off work today. She’s swamped, and I took off for the same reason: to write a book.
Last weekend, Heather and I had our own virtual writing retreat. She made an amazing workbook compete with devotionals, praise & worship, prayer, and journaling. I’d never done a prayer retreat before, so this was really a wonderful treat. I’ll always remember it as a special day of writing, Jesus, learning, and especially friendship.
And now this weekend we get to do it again, only this time with NACWE president Karen Bourg’s Retreat to Write. She has a gorgeous retreat center on Lake Winnsboro in east Texas. I couldn’t fly down there to attend in person, but I’ll be there virtually.
So why the incredible focus lately?

To show women that prayer is nothing other than simply Talking With Jesus.
While our book has been in the works for well over a year (my fault!), Sarah Geringer captured the spirit of the book in 5 minutes through a wonderful poem! Yay, Sarah!
As we finish our first co-authored book together, Heather and I are grateful for the reminder that Jesus died to give us “permission to pray in any way necessary.” So it is our pleasure to share “Permission to Pray” for our featured Grace & Truth post today. We hope you love it as much as we do.

I love how you both work together to help one another and lighten the responsibility. May God bless you both as you continue working on your book!
Thank you, Joanne! We work well together and we’re very blessed to have one another.
Blessings on your weekend and projects. Sometimes we make prayer way to complicated. Thanks for taking the time to make us easier.
That book sounds pretty amazing!
