Peace Robbers, Grace & Truth
Have you experienced any sickness or grief this year?
Perhaps one led to the other.
Sickness and loss comes to all of us from different directions, but every situation has one thing in common.
Sickness and grief rob us of our peace.
When I experienced illness and loss in my 30s I became bitter, angry, and anxious.
Now I know to run to Jesus, so even if circumstances rob my peace, I can still lean on His peace.
Sometimes I look back in regret at all the wasted time and energy. All the strife I brought onto myself and my family. If only I’d handled things better…
And this is what I love about Sarah Howley’s post Peace Robbers: Sickness and Grief.
It’s Never Too Late…
We are woefully inadequate to address these issues on our own, but the strongest thing that God placed in my heart to say this month is that it is never too late to turn to Him, to walk closer to Him, to surrender at His feet. – Sarah Howley
It is never too late to turn to Him, to walk closer to Him, to surrender at His feet. – Sarah Howley Click To TweetSarah taught me that even when I was too mad to turn to Jesus, or too stubborn to surrender my strength for His, He was still there waiting with open arms. I was never alone.
What is robbing you of your peace today? Are you blaming your circumstances for your temper tantrum? Will you still be hiding in your pajamas under the blankets, clinging to your hanky and Hershey’s at noon?
No matter where today finds you, Sarah wants you to know that Jesus loves you and wants to hold you close. Just as soon as you’re ready. You won’t feel alone anymore if you head on over to Peace Robbers: Sickness and Grief on InspiritEncourage.com .

Let’s Talk About Jesus…
We are putting together an anthology that’s all about putting our faith into words.
Sound interesting?
Thank you Valerie! I’m so glad that the Lord touches your heart from a post on InspiritEncourage! I’m honored to be highlighted this week. He’s always waiting with open arms!
Blessings, Sarah
It’s our pleasure, Sarah. Thank you for your lovely reminder of God’s infinite patience and unconditional love.
Thank you, Valerie for your thoughts and sharing Sarah’s post. I found it so very encouraging that no matter how far out of the way we may travel, it’s is indeed never too late to make our way back to Jesus.
You’re welcome, Donna! I’ve been reading the prophets the last few months, and I’m exasperated with these people just reading about these people. God’s patience and forgiveness never ceases to amaze me. And He’s just as patient and forgiving with us as He was in the Old Testament.
