Grace & Truth and The One True Rock
I fell in love fast and hard when I met my husband. Everything about him is strong, and I needed that. One of his passions is weightlifting, and the only thing stronger than his upper body is his resilience and stability.
As he held up our family no matter what life threw at us, I started calling him “my rock.” He seemed larger than life to me, unbreakable. I knew that as long as he was my cornerstone, I could stand through anything.
Looking back, I can see when the ground began to rumble, and then to shake. But I was too sick to notice until “my rock” actually cracked.
After 15 years of marriage, I learned that he was just as human, just as imperfect, as I am. And I learned who my Rock really is.
