Grace and Truth - a weekly Christian link-up

Grace and Truth For When God’s Goodness Fails to Amaze

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature…” ~ 2 Peter 1:3-4

Carlie opened her post with those verses, and I had to go back and read them again after I got to the end. In God’s amazing goodness, He granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Because we know Him, we can trust His precious promises.

But how often do we lose sight of that?

How often do we fail to stand amazed at the goodness of God?

Even though we know how great God is, we forget. It becomes second nature. Nothing more than common knowledge. But in truth, it is so much more.
