Dear Mom… (And The Grace and Truth Link Up)
Mother’s Day is just around the corner. If your children are still little, you have probably been getting handwritten notes and crafts they created at school. Maybe some flowers or cards.
On the bulletin board next to my desk I have a Mother’s Day project one of my girls brought home years ago. It’s titled, “My Marvelous Mother.” Down the side it has the letters that spell out mother and next to each of them her teacher had her write something that started with that letter. And then she colored the paper to the point where her penciled words are barely legible. But they are there, and they mean the world to me.
M – Mom think you mom for makeing food.
O – Ohhh mom you are amaceing.
T – The best mom ever.
H – How spechl God made you.
E – Ever night I will kis you and hug you.
R – Rech the sky mom.
Tell me that’s not the sweetest thing ever.
But I’m certain you have your own Mother’s Day treasures. And that’s what I want to share with you today. It’s a gem I found in our link up last week. It was actually a guest post by one of our hosts daughters.

Maree Dee let her daughter Marie share a story on her blog, but she didn’t stop there. Marie also posted some encouraging words for all moms. No matter what you are struggling with, I encourage you to hop over and read Marie’s post.

This is so beautiful. I can relate to your daughter in many ways and it helps me feel less alone. Thank you so much for sharing with such honesty.
I too would treasure that special project from your daughter. I have saved so many gems our attic is full.
Thank you for featuring my daughter’s post. You are the best! I hope you had a great Mother’s Day!
