Chronic Pain, Back To School, And Our Grace & Truth Link Up
For this week’s Grace & Truth post, I’m passing the reins over to my friend and fellow Candid Gal, Valerie Riese. I’m still down with a massive migraine, and she graciously offered to step in for me. ~ Heather
We have a wonderful post for this week’s Grace & Truth, but first, I have some special news to share.
Getting Candid About Chronic Pain
Tuesday night was an exciting night because our very own Heather Hart was featured on The Write Stuff Radio Show with Parker J Cole to talk about the upcoming launch of Candidly Christian TV!
On Candidly Christian TV, Parker J Cole will interview women about their real-life struggles with problems like depression, chronic illness, being an overwhelmed mom, and more. During Tuesday’s interview, Heather also talked about what it means to be Candidly Christian, and about her book, Candid Conversations.
For me, the most impactful part of the broadcast was when Heather opened up about her own struggle with a migraine that hasn’t stopped in over 2 years. Heather spoke very candidly about what it’s like to live with chronic pain, and how she clings to scriptures written by Paul for the grace to get through the day.
Heather’s testimony moved me to tears because when I went through a similar experience, it broke me. That was before I learned how to lean on Jesus. So please, if you or someone you love suffers from chronic anything, listen to this broadcast so you may also find strength resting in Jesus’ arms.
You can listen to the portion of the broadcast here, or the entire interview at Candidly Christian TV – Update.
So now on to this week’s Grace & Truth featured post!
Back To School
This week during an afternoon walk, my husband and I saw a school bus practicing its route, getting ready for the upcoming school year. It was a sad reality shock to us. We don’t feel ready because we love having our teenage daughter home. She’s a very pleasant and fun young lady and we love having her home. Plus she does all the house chores during summer! For us, the school year means that our baby will be driving soon, and I’m not sure any parent is ever really ready for that!
Are you ready for school? Let’s be candid – none of us are! Thankfully, Marva has put together a unique collection of 10 back-to-school posts, printable, and books on her blog SunSparkleSunshine.com. Marva’s special collection includes survival tips for everything from setting a daily routine, covering your children in prayer, starting off with a good attitude, and much more.

Thanks, Valerie! I so appreciate you!
Chronic pain makes everything else in life hard… but God still calls us to share the gosple and do the will He has called us to do. Thanks for this encouragement.
Thanks for stopping in, Tiffany. Life is hard, but God is good!
Thank you Heather and Valerie, for choosing to highlight my Back to School Survival Tips for Moms. I’m so not ready for school to begin but the tips are helping me to mentally prepare.
Heather I hope you’ll begin to feel better soon.
Blessings to both of you!
Thanks, Marva! My kids started back yesterday. It’s an adjustment to be sure.
